The Big Brown Get Down is a networking event for high school scholars who live in and/or attend school in the neighborhoods east of the Anacostia River. We will celebrate the Graduating Class of 2017 and have opportunities for students in grades 9 through 11 to pursue internships, mentorships, and scholarships, This event will take place on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at the Malcolm X Opportunity Center.

The Big Brown Get Down is intentionally staged in an informal setting. It's a cookout! We're playing spades, dominoes, and the like. Wear your college apparel and bring your dancing shoes!
