About the event
The Big Brown Get Down is a networking event designed to connect middle and high school scholars who live in and/or learn in the neighborhoods East of the Anacostia River. We will celebrate the Graduating Class of 2018 and have opportunities for students in grades 6 through 11 to pursue internships, mentoring relationships, and scholarships, This event will take place on Sunday, May 27, 2018 at the Malcolm X Opportunity Center in Congress Heights.
The Big Brown Get Down is intentionally staged in an informal setting. It's a cookout! We're playing spades, dominoes, and the like. Wear your college apparel and bring your dancing shoes!
